A Guided Tour of Mathematical Physics
by
Roel Snieder
The subject of this book is the application of mathematics
to physical problems. The topics covered include
vector analysis, Gauss' and Stoke's Theorems,
conservation laws, linear algebra, Fourier analysis, complex variables
Green's functions, normal modes, scale analysis, and potential theory.
The topics are presented via hundreds
of detailed problems. As such, the book should serve as a nice complement
to other textbooks on mathematical physics.
At this point the book is still under construction. New sections
are regularly added and both corrections and improvements will be
made. Check back frequently for the latest version. Feedback is
welcome. Comments can be sent directly to the author
via email.
